He told Charlie that he saw Claire and the baby getting into a helicopter and leaving the island but that in order for that to happen, Charlie had to die. Desmond may have doubts now due to Charlie's warning, but it makes sense that he would at least stay with the group that Claire chose to be in. He either knows that the rescue is for real (from his vision), or he feels guilty for mistakenly telling Charlie that he needed to sacrifice himself. In the latter case, he would probably do everything in his power to protect Claire and the baby, since he took Charlie from them.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
