Let me talk to her." are absurd; people are convinced by what could easily have been pre-recorded or synthesized. Paranoid, angry Kyle is going to be convinced so easily?

(To boot, there was a variant on this implausibility in the episode of No Ordinary Family just before V. Someone needs to Gibbs head-smack the story editors.)David Lubkinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03370839892174079666noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2289595359432630118.post-35952389873905935672011-02-18T01:49:16.906-05:002011-02-18T01:49:16.906-05:00They really keep using the same "device"...They really keep using the same "device" over and over again. Someone's child, or significant other to hold that person's allegiance to them. I find it fascinating that for a race (the "V's") that do not believe in emotions or the soul, they can easily manipulate human emotions. In fact they have that move down pat.

For my part, if the future of mankind depended on it, or if my faith in God was called into question, or my patriotism, or something like that, I always wonder how I would react... I mean, we've seen it on "24" and other shows like that. Would you brake under such pressure and "give in"? I likely to say from this comfortable perch, "NO", but in the real situation?M.P.
