I'll be back after the Democratic part of the ABC Republican, Democratic debates with an analysis, but, for now, let me just say -
Kudos to ABC for having both the Republican and Democratic Presidential candidates on stage together, briefly, at the end of the Republican debate (which was excellent).
I've never seen anything like this before, and I applaud ABC's daring and innovation for making this happen. It's good to break with precedent - or, to create new ones - and this one is a very good one: It reminds us that all of the candidates, Democratic and Republican, are part of the same process of democracy.

George Santayana had irrational faith in reason - I have irrational faith in TV.
"Paul Levinson's It's Real Life is a page-turning exploration into that multiverse known as rock and roll. But it is much more than a marvelous adventure narrated by a master storyteller...it is also an exquisite meditation on the very nature of alternate history." -- Jack Dann, The Fiction Writer's Guide to Alternate History
