All three were compelling, but the Danko and Sylar was the most surprising, and carried the important lesson that true evil cannot easily outgrow itself - that is, if Sylar isn't carrying out some sort of complex deception...
As it is, we see Sylar and Danko first clashing, but then joining forces to bring down a shape shifter. Sylar outwits the shape shifter, and ends up (of course) taking his powers. Even more important, Sylar seems to be joining Danko in the campaign to eradicate all the heroes. Will the contest then come down, in the end, to Sylar vs. Danko?
Likely not, since Sylar and Danko, powerful as they are, won't succeed. Mama Petrilli is drawing her family together, and Nathan and Claire are about as close as they've ever been.
Not to mention that Hiro has regained at least one of his powers, and there's still the third Ali Larter sister out there somewhere.
It's been a good season for Heroes - a lot better than last year's - and it will be fun to see how it's wrapped up...

Don't be too sure that Tracy's gone - remember the wink (and if you don't mind some plot clarification/spoilers from Bryan Fuller, who really wants you to understand what that wink means).
Thanks, but I've always agreed with I. A. Richards that creators of works are not reliable guides to their meaning...
But, welcome to Infinite Regress!
And, you make a good point about the wink (though Tracy could've been winking because she knew her triplet sister would be appearing soon...)
Erm... [waves hands helplessly and tries to come up with a non-spoiling way of explaining it]
It's not really about interpretation, more like Bryan Fuller is saying "I want people to understand this because something's going to happen later in this season that will annoy people if they don't understand why we added that wink in at the last moment, seeing as we've done something similar lots of times before and people are getting tired of it."
I can say no more than that, since although technically Bryan Fuller is merely 'clarifying the meaning of the text' (in much the same way that Ronald D Moore was patiently explaining that Kara wasn't Daniel's daughter so that people wouldn't feel let down by the BSG finale), others might interpret what I say as a spoiler, even though Bryan Fuller wants you to know it.
Let me know if you want to know, since the link I provided will spoil some season four stuff (and you really can blame Bryan Fuller for that) if you go there. Of course, he could be lying.
BTW I've been here before - you've even got me in your blogroll!
:) ah yes - The Medium is Not Enough - sorry for not recognizing your name (it comes from time traveling..)
No, definitely don't write anything here that might be a spoiler - I like Infinite Regress to be a place for informed and crazed speculation....
I can never remember names. Absolute blanks to me...
If it helps with people's interpretations of Cold Snap, Bryan Fuller is now pointing out it was supposed to be a blink and a tear, not a wink, but there was a miscommunication with the FX department. More details here, as well as surprisingly accurate analyses by Bryan of where Heroes went wrong in seasons 2 and 3.
However, deespite what some people might say, that Bryan's not the messiah – he's a very naughty boy because said link contains even more spoilers. ;-)
